Did you know that commenting on WordPress blogs actually can increase pageviews on your own blog?
Yep! It’s true.
Ok, but how is that possible?
On WordPress blogs, you have to enter your name, email and URL of your website/blog. It gives other commentors easy access to your blog and could reach out directly to you. For those of you who hate to sign in or have to take steps to comment, let me tell you how easy it is to comment on a WordPress blog. Once you enter your credentials, WordPress remembers you and will auto-populate those fields for you. BAM. You have no excuses.
Most WordPress blogs also use CommentLuv. Guys – this is the easiest way to promote your blog. CommentLuv automatically lets you choose from up to 10 old blog posts to put under your comment. That means that your post will be seen by the other commentors. You have the opportunity to have those commentors click on your posts and increase those pageviews we all strive for.
Anyone who comments on my blog and uses CommentLuv, I really try to click to their blog to check it out. More times than not, I will even leave a comment on that blog so that they know that I was there. Hey – did you know that if you don’t comment, no one knows you actually are reading their blog. Yea, it’s true! So get commenting on WordPress blogs and get those clicks we all want!
* I have seen a ton of bloggers switch to Disqus. I am not a fan of Disqus for many reasons, but one of them is that it is really hard to link back up to your blog through Disqus. If you don’t put your blog on your Disqus profile, it’s nearly impossible to find the bloggers blog. I don’t hate Disqus, but I like CommentLuv so much that I wish other WordPress bloggers would go back to the native comment system.
