It’s probably no surprise (if you follow me on Instagram), but I bleed red. I have been a loyal employee to the guys in the red trucks for 7 years (how has it been 7 years?). I have been fortunate enough to have been an employee since I graduated college, and I don’t think I could go to another company. I am one loyal employee, for sure. I don’t know if I will stay here for 25 years, but I have been happy since the day I started.
Ever since we moved downtown to the compound, I have had more opportunities to explore and learn what the guys in red do. And boy, do we do a lot.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to work for a company who has random photoshoots with props?
While my job has only changed twice in those 7 years, I feel like I have a better opportunity to grow and truly learn than I did before we moved to the compound. I am able to concentrate on my career goals more because we are all in a central location.
- Easily go downstairs to our cafe and talk to my boss.
- Conduct a meeting (I could do this before, but I now have the confidence to know what I am talking about).
- Be a part of a large group and present on specialized topics.
- Get to participate in all sorts of groups and clubs (I need to do this more often!).
- Concentrate more on my career development.
I feel like there is always something going on on our campus. One of my favorite things that we can do is hop on the shuttle, get dropped off at Centennial Park and walk around. This is what happened this week (we were scoping out the park for a work event in 2 weeks). After being on the shuttle for about 3 minutes, we were at the Park. Then, we walked around…and boy. It’s gorgeous! I have to say that I don’t take advantage of Centennial Park very much, so this was a wonderful opportunity.
I have yet to get on the farris wheel, but it’s on my bucket list. It’s much bigger than it looks from our office. I love this picture. You also get to see a bit of The Tabernacle venue.
What do you do?
