This week Jeremy and I will be heading off to Charleston, SC to see his best friend get married.
I got to meet this couple pretty early in my relationship with Jeremy. He actually ended up living with them for a year or so when they rented a 3 bedroom house. We would spend lots of time together at that house. It was so fun to see my relationship grow with him and see them together as well.
I still can’t really believe their wedding day is here. I am so excited to celebrate with them!!
But here came my dilemma. As a woman, you want to look the best at any type of event. Their wedding is a black tie optional affair. I don’t know about you, but I am not a black tie anything type of person. I love to dress up, but this is a whole new can of worms.
Jeremy is in the wedding, so he will be decked out in a tux. I really can’t wait to see him all gussied up. But I am not in the wedding, so I had no clue what to wear. I bought an old bridesmaid dress from a consignment shop that I was going to wear, but then I would have to ask some random creeper to zip me up. Weird, right?
After stressing about it a bit too much, I pulled the trigger and went to Rent the Runway. We leave sometime on Thursday for the wedding, and I was able to rent a dress last night and it will be at my hotel when I check in. (I called their customer service to make sure they could do that). I am bringing the other dress along just in case, but I have a feeling the dress I rented will work out just fine.
Rent the Runway’s customer service was amazing. I called them at 7:16pm last night and they talked me through the process of times and all that business.
Wanna see what I rented?
I was limited in the dresses that would be able to be shipped in time. They have a HUGE selection, so if you know you are going to an event, rent early. You will get the most options.
But even though I didn’t get the dress I originally wanted, I am really excited to see it on my body! I also think I changed my mind about 20 times, but I finally settled on a dress that I know will look great standing next to Jeremy in his tux.
