Ahh I am soaking up some rays today. And drinking some delicious needed beverages. Oh, hello blog! Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about you while I am on the beach all day long. Don’t worry about that!
I have Heather here to take things over today. I am one lucky blogger and so grateful for everyone guest posting while I am away! Y’all are amazing!
It’s all yours, Heather!
Hi “gigglers”!! I’m Heather and I blog over at Heather’s Hurrah.
Advice for newlyweds from a still-somewhat-newlywed:
1) Divide up the chores.
2) If you are changing your name post-wedding,
3) Go to bed angry if you both need sleep.
4) If you or your partner likes things done a very specific way, try to do it that way occasionally to prevent frustration.
5) Make time for date nights.
6) Take time for your own activities.
I love to read. My husband does not. At least once or twice a week, I’ll go to bed early and read, and he’ll be doing something else. Try to spend some time outside the house doing things you love too. See your friends. Catch a girly movie without him. These are the things that make you who you are, and the person that your husband fell in love with.
7) Above all, remember that you are both in this for good.
This is some great advice! Jeremy and I need to work on making time for date nights. We aren’t so good at that one. But we are pretty good about everything else (I think…maybe?) Err. Anyways. I hope you took some of this advice to heart and help with your relationships. I mean, why not? It’s free, it’s good advice, and it was on my blog. A win-win in my opinion. Thankyouverymuch!
P.S. I like vacation me better than real life me. Just saying! I’m saucier. Hee hee.
