Here it goes down, down into my belly.
Name that movie!
I am actually not a scotch fan at all, but I am a huge coffee lover and to me scotch and coffee are like bros or cousins or something.
Anyways, I am getting off topic here. I have a Keurig that my fabulous fiance bought me for Christmas last year. I don’t think he understood how much his gift would be used. I drink 2 regular cups in the mornings and 2 decaf cups at night. Every night. We were probably spending close to $50 on K cups alone. Crazy, right?
I knew there had to be a way to have a reusable K cup,but I didn’t know if this had been invented yet. Oh well, they have been. There were 3 brands I looked into but the deciding factor for me was the reviews. I hopped on over to Amazon (we have Prime now) and started researching.
This was the first one I looked into. The problem with the My K-cup is that you have to have the separate holder as well. I didn’t like that. I wanted just one piece, not 3. And this got terrible reviews.
This was one that was highly rated. It’s the Solofill cup. I didn’t like it though, because it won’t stand up on it’s own. How am I supposed to fill the thing? I had to keep searching. But was my perfect reusable K cup out there? Oh I hope so!
I finally found one that looked promising and took a chance on it.
Ahhh, I think this one might be it! The Ekobrew was only one piece, it sits on the floor and it has a lot of mesh for the coffee to be filtered out into your cup. The reviews were good. This one seemed almost too good to be true. I ordered it because I live on the wild side….and why not?
It came this weekend and I couldn’t be more happy with it. It is easy to put it (it fits perfectly with my Keurig), it is easy to fill with coffee, and easy to clean. I just dump the used grinds in the sink and that is it. Done. It is also dishwasher safe, so while I will have this one in the dishwasher getting all clean, I will have another one ready to use (yes, I ordered another one last night).
I bought my first bags of coffee ever yesterday and I have a feeling they are going to last me so much longer than normal k-cups would. Jeremy is excited because now we won’t be spending ooodles of money on K-cups and I am excited that I won’t be killing the environment anymore. It’s a win win!
