This past weekend I spent with some lovely ladies for a girls camping weekend. We went up to the North Georgia mountains and camped at Vogel State Park. I wish I had taken pictures of our tents and our set up, but I completely forgot.
We were not sissies either. We had tents and it rained at night all weekend long. Talk about crappy sleeping.
The weekend was rainy and pretty cold, but it was amazing none-the-less. I haven’t eaten that much delicious food in so long! And I drank SO MUCH WINE! I had bought 2 boxes (yes boxes) of red wine from Target and I have to say that it was good! Like really good.
Moving on, once we got up the mountain and set up we decided to hike around the lake that is at Vogel. I had never been to the state park before, so that was really fun! The view is amazing, right?
At the other end of the lake is a waterfall. This is it above. I like this picture best because I was playing with the shutter speed. You can still get movement of the water without it being completely blurred.
After a rainy evening (it sounded like we were getting shot at), we decided to go on a hike to Desoto Falls. It wasn’t that far away from where we were staying and they feature 2 waterfalls. There is just something so gorgeous about a huge waterfall. Desoto Falls didn’t disappoint!
I don’t know why, but I love this picture. It is just nature at work, I guess. It’s focused, but not. If that makes sense.
After we got back from our hike, we took some other nature pictures. These flowers were at their putt putt golf spot. What State Park has putt putt? I mean, awesome! It was too cold for us to all play and we were really hungry by this point, but the flowers were pretty!
