In case you missed last week, check out our send off here. Hint: It includes Chinese wish lanterns. We are getting to the end, folks! I still can’t believe it. There aren’t a ton of pictures today, because this is a post all about the music we chose for our wedding. So, grab some headphones and listen to the songs we decided to incorporate.
The moms and grandmas walked down the aisle to “The Luckiest” from Vitamin String Quartet. This has been one of my favorite songs for a really long time (think freshman year of college), and I loved the string version of it. All the music that people walked down the aisle to was instrumental.
Jeremy and the boys were supposed to walk down the aisle to “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” from Vitamin String Quartet. I don’t know what happened, and wasn’t able to listen, but Jeremy said it was a different song. Meh…it all worked out in the end. One little hiccup isn’t that bad, right?
With the ladies, we switched things up and they walked down the aisle to The Piano Guys. I chose “Home” from The Piano Guys for them because it holds a special place in our hearts. Jeremy used this song in our proposal video, so I knew I had to have it somewhere on our wedding day.
I walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by The Piano Guys. If there was ever a song to walk down the aisle to, it was this one for me. I have mentioned it before, but my walk down the aisle was 4 minutes. It worked perfectly to get my daddy and me down the aisle and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Oh, and I have a serious love of Christina Perri (even though I hate Twilight), so I also was leaning toward using her song. I love that I could still have an instrumental song and it still had meaning to me.
Our bridal party entrances were to “One Minute More” from Capital Cities. We loved how upbeat it was yet, different at the same time. I loved it.
The cake cutting song was “Come To Me” by the Goo Goo Dolls. I’m normally not a huge fan of them, but we both loved the song when we heard it on the radio during a road trip. We knew we had to incorporate it somehow.
Jeremy picked out our first dance song. It was “Only Fools Rush In” and he kept it secret from me the entire time that we planned our wedding. I was actually really surprised with his choice, but it was a good selection, in my opinion. Below is not the exact version that he chose, but it was close. It was a cover of the song, and this version is beautiful.
