After our ceremony, it was time for some pictures as a newly married couple. Even though we had a first look, I knew that I wanted pictures after the ceremony since I had my veil on and we were officially hitched.
It was fun to have a longer walk back to the gazebo by ourselves. I mean, we had just gotten married for crying out loud…let us have a few minutes to ourselves!
Jeremy and I waited in the gazebo while everyone came off the pier. We were waiting so that we could get pictures on the walkway leading up to the pier by ourselves. Well, this action led to an improptu receiving line. I’m not a big fan of receiving lines and definitely didn’t plan to have one, but we did sort of have one anyways.
I think because lots of the guests could see us hugging members of the bridal party, they thought they could jump in line too. Like I said before, it wasn’t planned, but you know what? I’m really glad that I got to say a few things to most everyone. It all happened so fast, but I was able to talk to almost everyone and hug most people. It might have been improptu, but I think it worked out so well.
Oh, just leading my husband along the path. Nothing out of the ordinary at all!
I love Jeremy’s face in this picture. He’s calm but looks at peace, which is awesome. And he’s staring into my eyes, which every girl wants, right? Right?
The obligatory veil picture. I really wanted to capture the beauty of my moms veil, which I think this does beautifully. You can see the lace all around. Fun fact – my sister had to be used to make this picture happen. She will make an appearance in my bloopers post – coming eventually.
