After my emotional first look with my dad, it was time to head out and get some bridal shots. I’ve never had a photoshoot before, so this was pretty interesting. It was awkward at first, but I think I got the hang of it after a while. Jeremy was still getting ready by the pool while I was out getting my picture taken. His groom pictures were after we got back from our first look, but for your sake I will be putting them together.

My bouquet was a complete surprise. I had thought about devoting an entire post to my bouquet, and I might, but for now, this will do. You see, I had been talking with our florist for a long time. Like, about a year — a long time. We gave her our budget for flowers and even though I told her I LOVED peonies, I knew from our emails that I wouldn’t be able to afford a peony bouquet. And that was OK for me. I had found another beautiful bouquet that I liked from Pinterest and sent it to her.
Well, when she showed up and brought me – the bride – the bouquets, guess what was in the bunch? My peony bouquet that I wanted, but wasn’t expecting to get. I didn’t order it. She actually made me 2 bouquets. The peony one and the one that I found on Pinterest that I loved as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a single picture with the 2nd bouquet, but luckily I have a friend who took a picture of it for me.
I do wish that I had used the 2nd bouquet for some pictures, but it’s alright. I used the peony one like it was attached to me. I still can’t believe that she gifted me that bouquet. It still makes me so happy to remember that!
