I feel like every blogger has done a review of 2013 already. I am a bit behind, but I’m getting there. I loved reading these posts and I think it’s great to look back at your archives and relive your year. Lisette had a great review of her year as well as Erin. I know there are many more bloggers who did this, so please don’t make me credit everyone. I’m not trying to discredit anyone, I just can’t remember everyone who had a review post on Tuesday.
I started the year off talking about doing the 30 Day Shred. This obviously didn’t last very long. Oops. I also discussed why Pinterest is evil. My blog got hacked by someone who doesn’t post very often. I celebrated my birthday as well and shared some great presents that I received.
I discussed my favorite Super Bowl commercials. My favorite is still the Budweiser one…still get choked up when I see it. I started Weight Watchers in February. This really was quite of a big deal. Speaking of Weight Watchers, I spent some time explaining why it is a great program. From the apps, to the tracker, to easy meals…it really is great for weight loss. I gave an Ode to a Tagalong since I couldn’t have them. Sigh. They are my favorite Girl Scout cookie. I finished the month off with talking about unity ideas for weddings.
I shared my morning and nighttime skin care routine. This has changed, but I still use some of the things that I mention in these posts. We suffered a loss in March and were able to travel up to Indiana to be with Jeremy’s family. I am honestly so happy that I could be there for him and his grandmother. I started offering sponsorships on the blog, which was crazy and scary. Having sponsors on your blog is something I never thought I would be able to do. Thank you to everyone who has Sponsored Chits and Giggles. I love you guys! I also shared a ton of recipes this month. Most of them were from Weight Watchers. Check them out…they are pretty darn good!
I decided to share 2 wedding dresses that I was debating between. And yes, I bought one of these dresses. I told you how I almost died. Do you want to be debt free? I gave you some great tips on how I got debt free. It can happen, I promise! The Auburn Oak trees were remembered before they were taken down. 🙁 I saw Rihanna in concert with some lovely ladies. That was such a great show!
I went on a wet and dreary camping weekend with some of my favorite ladies. We still made the best of the icky weather and had a great time. I shared some of my insecurities which included blogging ones. I told you why I am not a fashion blogger. Taking pictures of yourself in your work bathroom is pretty darn funny, if you ask me. I shared that I am considered a plus size in the modeling world. This is my absolute favorite post to date. To end the month, I shared with you guys our wedding venue. I am still so excited to get married at this place. It has everything we could have ever dreamed.
I don’t know why I did this, but I told you guys my most embarrassing story. Still can’t believe that is online. We officially started our Wedding Wednesday linkup. I can’t believe we have been doing it for so long. I can’t wait for what is to come this year! I shared our engagement pictures and that one time that we left the country. Puerto Rico is an amazing country!
After recapping our trip to Cape Cod, Harris celebrated his first birthday. He was so cute during his entire birthday celebration. I can’t wait to celebrate 2 years in July! We drove – yes drove – to North Carolina to vacation in the Outer Banks. What a gorgeous place to go. So amazing! I also told you guys our options for our honeymoon. We are all over the place!
I started to get more comfortable with my DSLR camera, and took my knowledge to take pictures of my sisters family. I have a ton more to learn about the camera, but I loved taking their pictures. What a fun afternoon! We started gearing up for football season to start. And what a season that turned out to be. WAR EAGLE! I shared my frustrations with my skin and why I don’t have confidence right now. Despite my frustrations, I came up with 5 Happiness Resolutions that I want to start implementing.
I started the month off with some monthly goals. These goals didn’t exactly happen. Oops. I started the Photoshop 101 Series. And even though I haven’t posted a new session in a while, they will be back in 2014. Promise. I also got to see my absolute favorite band ever in the history of the earth, Mumford and Sons. I also decided it would be a good idea to post a selfie (which I never do) without makeup on. It isn’t pretty, but I am frustrated with my skin! I taught you how to eat cleanly.
My mom became famous and was featured on NBC’s Nightly News. We went to a pumpkin patch with Harris and family and saw the Braves lose badly during a playoff game. Such a fun weekend! I had a real life friend guest post about how to love cooking with your toddler. I also decided to break up my weight loss goals in 5 pound increments. #operation5pounds was born! I shared where I would live if I had a million dollars. Ahh, the mountains. I am in love.
Another fashion magazine had a plus sized model on their cover. So, of course, I told you why this is such a milestone. I also shared with you why Weight Watchers works for me. We went to Charleston, SC to an amazing wedding. Being at a black tie wedding was a really fun affair! I also told you how to clean your Keurig. I never knew it was so easy to clean! You only need like 3 things to make your machine almost brand new. I also showed you a great video of Cookie Monster as Katniss Evereat. Check it out!
I debuted my new WordPress design. My mom and I took the trip down to Auburn, AL for the Iron Bowl. We didn’t have tickets, but that didn’t stop us from having the time of our lives that night. So much fun! Oh and Auburn won, in case you didn’t know that. I told you about getting my dark spots lasered off. They have gotten so much better because of this. I do think that I will have to go back and get them done again though. We narrowed our honeymoon options down. I am already dreaming of sunshine and beaches and unlimited drinks. Yes please! I discussed my concerns with friends who already have kids and I am just about to get married. Did I miss out on something by not getting married earlier? Am I missing out on something now? I finished out the year with my Blogger to WordPress transfer experience.
What a great year of blogging! Here is to 2014 being just as amazing. I know it will be. Hello wedding year!
